Best Club Member (Dick Gray Cup): Dawn Dorresteyn
Dawn represented the club in interclub, she is a good sport. She helps out with running the Friday club and also on a Monday and at other times as required. Dawn’s willingness to help out is very much appreciated.
Most Improved Player: Stephan Gerschewski
After playing Premier 2 interclub in 2006, Stephan stepped up to Premier 1 this year which is quite a transition. He achieved a 68% average in a hard grade.
Best Sportsperson: Nancy Chan
Nancy has been a regular at the midweek club for a number of years. Her helpful and cheerful personality and good sportsmanship is highly valued.
Most Outstanding Individual Performance: Noam Bar-Shalom
Noam has had a great year. He stepped up a grade at interclub and had a creditable average. He has developed and matured as a player and as a person. He has been selected for the National 13-16 squad. He also played well at the National champs held in Hamilton recently.

More than 50 Interclub Appearances (1946-2007)
Chris Williams recently waded through the old records to find out who had represented Empire at Interclub and how many times they had appeared. He has come up with the following list of members who have represented Empire at Interclub since 1946, and have made more than 50 appearances. Certificates were presented to these players at the club’s Presentation Night. It is anticipated that in the future an award will be made to those reaching significant milestones.
