Summer Interclub: Round #3 Summary

Round #3 was completed on Wednesday 9th March and the round robin is over the half way stage. Two full Empire teams (Empresses and Enigmas) are leading Divisions Two and Three respectively whilst Nomads (a composite team including member Chris Talbot) leads Division One. Congratulations to Depak Patel, Jo Roberts and Basil Kananghinis who are unbeaten. See the table tennis wellington blog for full details.

Monday Night Coaching

A reminder that coaching from Depak Patel is available on Monday nights and we would like to encourage as many players as possible to take advantage of this. There are six 15 minute sessions available each Monday night from 8.30pm on a first-in-first-served basis although we will be monitoring to ensure everyone gets a chance. The sessions are free for members, providing the night fee is paid. Depak is the Club Coach and has attained the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) Level 2 coaching qualification. Put your name down when you arrive at the Club.

TTW Vets Open: 12th March

The annual TTW Vets Open will take place on Saturday 12th March at our Stadium. The age groups are Over 40/50/60/70 and there will be singles and doubles. For more information, including how to enter, check out the table tennis wellington blog.

Round #1 was completed on 24th February with four of our teams (Emperors, Empresses, Envoys and Enigmas) starting with wins. Nomads (a composite team including our member Chris Talbot) also opened with a win. Well done to those teams and looking forward to our other teams getting on the board soon!

Summer Interclub gets under way tonight at our Stadium. We have 17 members playing across the three divisions and we wish them all the best. Go to our interclub page to see the teams. Round by round results will be summarised as soon as they become available.

Summer Interclub is almost upon us. It runs from Wednesday 24th February to Wednesday 30th March, the format will be 2 player teams and entries close on 17th February. To enter, talk to your session organiser or a Board member or email info@empirett.org.nz.

There will be no Monday evening session on 8th February as it is a public holiday, with Waitangi Day being observed.

2016 Up & Running!

A good first night of the year this Monday with several new members coming along to join in as well as a good number of regular players. However there will be a break in the season next Monday 25th January as it is a Public Holiday. We will look forward to seeing you all again on Monday 1st February.

2015 Closing Dates & 2016 Opening Dates

Midweek Club: Last day is Thursday 17th December. A casual club will operate in January, starting Tuesday 5th January. The official reopening day for 2016 is Tuesday 2nd February.
Monday Night: Last night is Monday 14th December and the official reopening date for 2016 is Monday 18th January.
Junior Club: Already closed. Dates for 2016 to be confirmed.

Junior Cub Final Night: Friday 27th November

Just a reminder that this Friday 27th November is the final Junior Club night for 2015. We will have some fun games and challenges, and then our prize giving followed by a shared supper.
Entry is free for players that bring a plate of food to share; else the usual $5 fee applies.
All parents / guardians welcome.
Come along for a great evening - please arrive between 6:30 pm - 7 pm so that you don't miss out on any of the fun!
Finally, a big Thank You! from the Club to all parent/guardians and volunteers for helping throughout the year. Your assistance is essential and much appreciated.
