TTW Junior Development Tournament.

The first TTW Junior Development Tournament of the year will take place on Sunday 15th June at Empire. Age categories are Under 17, Under 14 and Under 12 as at 31st December 2013. Entries close on 10th June by post and 14th June at noon by email or phone. See the table tennis wellington website for full details and an entry form.

Winter Interclub: Round #1

All 11 of our teams were in action last week in round #1 of the winter interclub competition. The competition comprises two separate series with the first series concluding in early July. Teams recording wins were Empire Entertainers, Empire Evils, Empire Elms and Empire Elves. For full details see the table tennis wellington website.

Our website person will be on holiday from 5th-23rd May. Rumours that he is jetting off to Zimbabwe on a recruiting mission are not true. Please note:

The TT Sports TTW Autumn Open results for our players will be published by the end of May. They should be available on the table tennis wellington website before that.
Junior Club restarts on Friday 9th May.
Winter Interclub starts on Tuesday/Wednesday 20th/21st May. If you want play, hand your name in as soon as possible. See our post dated 29th April.

Statistical Trivia

Although most of our website visitors are from New Zealand as we would expect, we have received visits from all over the place. Since we went live in January we have had visitors from Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Russia, Singapore, UK, USA and Zimbabwe. Whilst we do not anticipate plane loads of players jetting in from Zimbabwe to join up it is quite interesting!

Raffle Fundraiser: Reminder!

A reminder that our fundraising raffle is under way, with the prizes largely being donated by the James Cook Hotel in Wellington. Tickets cost $2.00 each and are selling well but there are still some left. The prizes are:

Night and breakfast at the James Cook
Bottle each of red and white wine and two Empire Jubilee wine glasses
Bottle each of red and white wine
Two Empire Jubilee beer glasses

Get your ticket at the next session - remember, you have to be in to win and the tickets are selling like hot cross buns! We need funds to keep the hall functioning on a daily basis so please support the raffle.
