This competition finished before Christmas and several members took part. Check out the table tennis wellington website for full details.
Congratulations to Graham Sole who was part of the team who won Division One. As you will know we are now live via empirett.org.nz. You will notice that the Latest News started earlier and news items have been posted since the beginning of the year. To comment on the new website or if you have for technical problems, email [email protected].
For any other matter email [email protected] or use the contact us page. This year we will reach our 80th birthday. It hardly seems like five years have passed since our 75th Jubilee! It is great to think that the Club will be around to celebrate 100 years and further anniversaries but unless our hard pressed administrators get more help, it will not happen.
Our Board do a great job but there is more and more to do and fewer and fewer people doing it. There are vacancies on the Board but if that is not for you, no worries. You do not have to be on the board to help our Club. For example I look after our new website and I am not on the Board. So if you can help in any way talk to any board member when at the Club or use the contact us page on this website. It will be great to hear from you! Our Board has now finalised the 2014 fee structure. To view, go to the to play page and click the fees button. Annual subscriptions remain the same and there are small increases to senior night and concession fees. There is a small decrease in the visitor fee, to encourage pote We have also introduced a bat hire fee after the first night of attendance.
We regret having to make these changes but we have a big stadium which is expensive to run and the changes are necessary. A reminder for our older members. Entries for this major event close on 15th March. For more information visit the Table Tennis Wellington website.
Senior Club will officially open on Monday 27th January. The stadium will be open for casual play on Monday nights from 13th January at which there will be no organised games and the usual session fees will apply.
Midweek Club will officially open on Tuesday 4th February. The stadium will open for casual play on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7th January at which there will be no organised games and the usual session fees will apply. Our gallery now includes photos from our Junior Prize Giving, Christmas & Prize Giving Dinner and Senior Break Up.
