Winter Interclub Series Two: Results & Draws

Premier grade started last week with one win and two losses for our teams. Divisions One and Two get under way this week on 28th/29th July. We have six teams competing plus other players in combination teams . Check out the results and draws on the table tennis wellington blog.

Wellington Open: 1st/2nd August

The Wellington Open (sponsored by Coffee SUPREME), the major tournament of the season will be held at our stadium on Saturday/Sunday 1st/2nd August. It includes both open and age grade events and entries close on Wednesday 29th July. For information on how to enter and for further details go to the table tennis wellington blog.

Congratulations Lima Sopoaga!

One of our longer serving members reports that Lima Sopoaga, who makes his debut for the All Blacks against South Africa at the weekend, was once a member of our Junior Club. A table tennis bat would be handy against those Springbok loosies. Good luck Lima!

Coming Very Soon: Winter Interclub Series Two

Winter Interclub Series Two starts tonight (21st July) with Premier Grade getting under way. Check out the draw on the table tennis wellington blog. The remaining grades start next week on 28th/29th July.
A reminder too about the Grade Championships. Division Two is tonight (21st July) and Divisions One and Three are tomorrow night (22nd July).

Winter Interclub Series Two & Grade Champs

Winter Interclub Series Two starts on 21st July for Premier grade and 28th/29th July for the other grades. This is a new competition and all teams start from zero again. Entries close on 15th July for all grades so please confirm your interest with your session organiser or a Board member as soon as possible.
Grade Championships for Divisions One, Two and Three will be held on 21st/22nd July (on the same night as your usual interclub night) at our Stadium. Enter on the night. You can enter the grade one up from yours if you wish.

Winter Interclub Series One: Three Grade Winners!!

At the conclusion of Winter Interclub Series One our teams had won three out of the four grades and were runners up in two grades! Congratulations to Empire Elders (Division One), Empire Egrets (Division Two) and Empire Eskimos (Division Three) for winning their grades and to Empire Eveready (Premier) and Empire Eels (Division Three) for becoming runners up. Winter Interclub Series One: Finals Night! - 30 June/1st July

There were some excellent results for our teams in the Winter Interclub Series One semi finals, played on 23rd/24 June, but first of all congratulations to the Empire Egrets (Basil Kananghinis, Kaz Witko, Graham Sole and Maggie Dyer). who have already won Division Two which was a straight round robin. Well done!
In the other three grades, four of our teams will contest finals this week.
In Premier Grade, Empire Eveready play Titan Terriers;
In Division One, Empire Elders play Waterloo Wolves;
In Division Three, Empire Eskimos play Empire Eels.
Some of our other teams are involved in third place play offs, so it will be a big couple of evenings.
