Winter Interclub Series Two: 11th/12th August Results

After the last round of matches we find all our Premier Grade teams in the bottom half of their grade, although two of them have already had byes. Better news in Division One, where Empire Eagles are first equal and Empire Elders third, In Division Two, Empire Egrets and Empire Eskimos are second equal. Congratulations also, to Andrew Maguire (Empire Eagles) who has maintained his 100% individual record. See the table tennis wellington blog for all the details.

2015 Midweek Doubles Tournament: 17th September

Our very popular and well organised Midweek Doubles Tournament returns this year on Thursday 17th September and will be held in our stadium. Again it is sponsored by Mercedes Benz, attracts players from other clubs and caters for all levels of playing ability. Click here to see full details.

Winter Interclub Series Two: Latest Results

Three rounds of Premier Grade and two rounds of the other Grades have now been completed. Our best performing team at this stage is Empire Elders who are leading Division One. Individually, well done Andrew Maguire, Tony Rutledge, Om Thakur and Kaz Witko who have 100% records. See the table tennis wellington blog for full details.

Congratulations too, to Tony Rutledge and Maggie Dyer who won the Division One and Division Two Grade Championships respectively, in late July.

Gallery Addition: Know Anyone?

A feature of our Club in the 70s, 80s and 90s was the gallery of winning interclub teams that stretched round the walls in the two older halls. We are not quite sure why this "tradition" stopped - perhaps they were taken down to allow some decorating and never replaced. However, they were not discarded and all 70 of them are included in the gallery. Some of the photos have been damaged but we have included them for the sake of completeness. Clicking on a photo reveals a larger version.
Check them out by clicking on interclub winners. Longer serving members will know many of the players. Newer members can have some fun by spotting some current members in their younger days!
