Winter Interclub Series One: Round #5 Summary

Round #5 was completed on 16th/17th June and Empire teams feature prominently in the play offs, starting on 23rd/24th June.
Premier Grade: Empire Eveready play Empire Energisers in one semi final.
Division One: Empire Elders are unbeaten and have progressed straight to the final.
Division Two: The Combo (including Om Thakur from Empire) are leading the field from Empire Egrets. This grade is a straight round robin.
Division Three: Empire Eskimos are unbeaten and have progressed straight to the final and Empire Eels are in the semi final.

Junior Developing Tournament Results

Congratulations to the following Junior Club members who did well in this tournament, which was held on Sunday 14th June at our Stadium.
Travis Dyer: Winner U14 Singles; Winner U14 Doubles; Runner Up U17 Singles.
Jimi Nelson: Runner Up U14 Singles; Winner U14 Doubles; Winner U17 Singles.
Trixie Pena: Runner Up U4 girls singles: Runner Up U14 Doubles.
Jet Hogan: Winner U14 plate.

Round #4 - Same As Before! Winter Interclub Series One

The completion of round #4 of Winter Interclub Series One on 9th/10th June saw no changes at the top, with Empire Eveready, Empire Elders, The Combo and Empire Eskimos still leading their grades. All the results are on the table tennis wellington blog.

Winter Interclub Series One: Round #3: Good News!

This round, which was played on 2nd/3rd June, marked the half way point of the round robin in most grades. After the tough week last week there is much better news to report!
Empire Eveready lead the Premier grade, Empire Elders and Empire Eagles are first and second in Division One. Empire Egrets are second in Division Two, behind The Combo, a composite team which includes our player Om Thakur. In Division Three, Empire Eskimos lead from Empire Eels. Congratulations!
Individually our top performers in each grade are Depak Patel (88.9% in Premier), Andrew Maguire (100% in Division Two), Om Thakur (77.8% in Division Two) and Diana D'Audney (100% in Division Three). Congratulations again!

2015 Wellington Veterans Open Tournament Results

This tournament was held in our Stadium on 23rd May and drew entries from as far away as Auckland. Depak Patel was our best performer with three podium finishes. Congratulations to him and to the following members who also performed well.

Depak Patel: Winner, O50 Singles; Winner, O50 Doubles; Runner Up, O40 Singles.
Zhidong Yu: Winner, O50 Doubles; Runner Up, O40 Doubles.
Paul Solt: Runner Up, O40 Doubles.
Martin Young: Runner Up, O50 Doubles.
Tony Rutledge: Runner Up, O60 Doubles.

Our teams found the going tough in round #2, which was played on 26th/27th May, with only Empire Eveready, Empire Elders and Empire Eskimos recording wins.
