Ron Menchi

We were sad to hear the news that Ron Menchi passed away on 11th April. He had been ill for some time. It is hard to put into words the contribution Ron has made to table tennis at a Club, Regional and National Level. He joined Empire in the late 1940s and was elected a Life Member in 1959. He was also a Vice President of Table Tennis Wellington, and a Life Member and Hall Of Fame Member of Table Tennis New Zealand. So sorry to hear of the sad news of Ron's passing.
Over the last ten years that I knew him, I have always found him to be a kind friendly and a giving person. I will certainly miss seeing him around at the club.
